My watch, which is an old model, is damaged. Why does the warranty not apply?

Sometimes the lack of regular maintenance of a watch can result in accelerated deterioration of the case and other components. Unfortunately, this type of damage is not covered by the warranty because it cannot be construed as a manufacturing defect.
